‘AKITEKUCHA : A MUSICAL & SONIC RUMINATION OF ARCHITECTURE’ | eLEARN VIDEO
Akitekucha is a travel-interest cum elearn (eLearning) video production showcasing the inseparable and symbiotic relationship between architecture and music. With this in mind, the video comprises varied music tracks and sound effects superimposed against images of architecture and structures illustrating the relationship.
This subject has been a field of study within architecture and academic circles over decades. Although the topic is open to subjectivity, there are arguably undeniable and distinct relationships between the two respective art forms. The brief however was to create a video that has a wider audience appeal. That is, it is not to be strictly academic in nature. The video – footage, images, music and composition – was compiled under the guidance of a professional architect and musician.
At times ironic, the eLearning video presents architecture and styles, form and function, environment and culture, and material of iconic buildings, structures and prominent landmarks. All in all, scholars of architecture and music, as well as avid travellers, will find the video interesting.
The software applications used in the project include Adobe After Effects, Audition, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Ableton Live 9.
